Plastic Injection Molding

about-pic

Plastic injection molding is used widely in plastic forming technology.

The process involves pouring plastic pellets into an injection molding machine, where it is heated and melted before being injected into a mold under a certain pressure. After cooling, the desired product is formed.

Materials include

  • Engineering plastics:ABS、PBT、PC、PET、POM、PPS etc.
  • General-purpose plastics:HDPE、LDPE、PP etc.
  • In addition to common properties like weather resistance and chemical resistance, the shrinkage rates of different materials during molding also greatly affect the surface appearance for exterior parts.
Advantages:
  • Highly manufacturing efficiency:Suitable for mass production, fast and stable.
  • Precision: Enable the high-precision manufacturing of complex components.
  • Wide range of material options:Various plastic materials can be selected to meet different needs.
Disadvantages
  • High initial cost:The cost of mold production is relatively higher.
  • Longer design time:In addition to tool design and machining time, it is also necessary to confirm whether the shape of product can be successfully molded (e.g., undercuts, draft angles, thickness, etc.).

Applications
